A Properly Looked After R32

When we decided we wanted an R32, we looked at a number of different examples before choosing this one.

With cars approaching 20 years old, we believe history, maintenance and how the car has been looked after matter.

This example has covered approximately 139,000 miles – an average of only around 7,700 miles per year since 2008 – and benefits from extensive service and ownership history, along with evidence of some important major work.

Most notably, the DSG gearbox was refurbished last year, alongside work to the Haldex four-wheel-drive system.

We've invested in the car ourselves too.

The front end had accumulated the usual stone chips and a small area of rust over the years, so we've had the full front end professionally resprayed rather than simply touching it up.

We've also had all four alloy wheels professionally refurbished to bring them back to their best.

The result is a proper MK5 R32 that looks fantastic, has a great history behind it and, most importantly...

Still makes that incredible V6 noise. 🔥
